We meet on Sunday mornings to worship God together in various neighborhood homes. As of September 2021, kids are gathering outside with masks. Adults are gathering inside with masks and both windows and doors open. We will continue to follow city guidance about how we can best keep one another safe.
Please sign up for our mailing list so you can receive weekly updates with an accurate location, start time, weekly readings, and Zoom links for those who prefer to attend virtually. Our usual start time is 10am.
Humberto is a talented baker and produces far more bread than his family can consume! Tiny Church supports his baking addiction and helps him deliver free bread to neighbors every week. This is a great opportunity to knock on a door and meet someone new, to catch up with a neighbor you haven't seen in some time, to bless a neighbor that needs something to eat, and to share God's generous love with those around us. Send us an email if you want to learn more about how to participate in this ministry.
Longfellow is adjacent to the San Pablo Park community and disproportionately supports underserved Berkeley families. To date, we have helped support science education at Longfellow and are exploring opportunities to strengthen their "maker space." We are also preparing to help start and support a Wyldlife club at Longfellow.
We're always looking for fresh ideas an opportunities to love the kids in our community and the educators that are shaping their experience here. If you have ideas, let us know!
We are working with Malcolm X teachers to help them maintain healthy classroom communities. We've assessed their ventilation systems and are providing a playbook for their optimal operation. We're also helping plan how the school can operate safely under smoky and rainy conditions. As with Longfellow, we're eager to deepen our relationship with Malcolm X and echo God's love for Berkeley there.
We have a daytime shelter just up the street that has been serving homeless families here in Berkeley since 1987. We provide funding and often partner with these neighbors to prepare holiday meals.
